It has been more than a week since my last post and I apologize for the lack of any news or photographs. I have been a little preoccupied (Tim would argue that it is obsession rather than preoccupation) with our national election. The DNC and the RNC conventions have set off a political storm unlike any I have ever experienced. Over the last few weeks I have been unable to ignore television, the internet and print media. But, then again this election is so critically important to our (and our children's) futures. There is too much at stake to ignore it. So many important issues: the economy, healthcare, the environment, national security, social security, energy policy, foreign policy and many social issues are on the table and need serious attention. It is critical that Americans are aware of the important issues and don't get lost in the name calling, blurring of the issues and other games to distract them from what is important. Stay on task. Do the research rather than make assumptions. Don't play the partisan shell game. I really wanted to refrain from posting anything political and keep my opinions off the blog. But, I can't. I can't sit back and keep quiet. You may not agree with me. That is okay. But, keep an open mind. Study the issues. Read the enclosed link (just click on 'My View'). There is too much to lose!
